    ...I bought the running boards immediately, as a defensive maneuver against this and door dings, and have none of either in 15 years, and in a bit over 200,000 miles, though I do also park defensively. . ...and obviously, not having mudflaps is going to kick stuff back, and having neither is asking for chips, and they don't 'just' kick up on ones own vehicle.....
