I joke. Yeah I pulled the film off. I DID leave it on my instant pot years ago when I opened 'er up, and then forgot I did that. So when I started using it more recently I was like "Wow these buttons are trash they're already wearing through."

^^^ I forget if I took that before or after I burned them in a bit, but either way, I DID take it off the film

I'm going to spend some time on the doors later, new handles and try to get that film off.

All said and done:

SS 7mm grates 40$
Flavourizer bars 29$
Igniter 10$*
Drip pan liner 50$
Total 129$

*The igniter WORKED, but it was a bit crusty so that got a treatment. Pretty good for a roadside Weber. The body was in great shape still, took some wire brushing and pressure washing and it was good to go. Replace the crusty bits, and off we go. My ONLY gripe is I wish the burners were front to back so I could do a left/right situation. They're right to left so I can only do front and/or back. Hard to do an offset cook of any sort with this.
