Shake stuff around to see what’s loose I found that my spare is a bit loose

I originally thought it was the drums but I changed them and the noise is still the same but comes and goes seems minor to me because my truck runs great and drives down the road just fine

Im in process of replacing my Carrier bearing due to a scratchy metallic type noise that we found in the diff. My noise was constant at any speed. It drove fine though.

Not to be confused with the Center bearing on the driveshaft.

Wheel bearings might be about to call it quits.

Mileage is about right for failure, and mine did the same in and out noise for a few weeks before they went for good. Good luck with the diagnosis. Maybe the backing plate for the rear brakes is bent and rubbing the drum when the truck weight is on it? Pull a wheel off and see if there is a shiny spot.

Check the dust covers on your wheels to make sure they are t scraping inside of rim
Tolerance is very small, if they get bent just a little they can sometimes rub.
