Same and I think that the side diagonal braces may have been an early guess at how it should look, useful if you prefer to strap gear there or maybe they really are a good idea with smaller tubing. It is also possible that although welded in this way the frame is plenty strong/stiff, but needs to have a roll-bar look to it to be legit in peoples minds.

I totally missed this on the original post, but is your 1545 outside bracket really just another inside bracket? Any modifications needed?

I am not following. Remind me what the 1545 is?

If you are talking about the 80/20 frame corners, you will see I originally used a thick L-angle from the metal store, then bought the thick corner 80/20 extrusion and had it machined. The L-anges by the way worked perfectly and I see no need (other than aesthetically) to go through all the bother of machining the corner extrusions (if that is what you mean).

Yeah that's what I was talking about. The 1545 I believe is the size of the 3" 80/20 extrusion

Wanted to extend a huge thank-you to @Taco Camper you had some great ideas which I incorporated into my build. Especially appreciated the sewing inspiration and the aluminum piano hinges!

Thank you and wow that looks great! Good work and that is quite amazing to see that the design is well liked. One of my favorite things is the large windows. The tent looks very well done.
