After being diagnosed with a failing evaporator, I took my 16 to a local shop to get serviced. Long story they took forever and a day to get my truck back to me and when it was returned I had several alerts start popping off.

    1. Reverse Camera was no longer working
    2. BSM not working
    3. Steering wheel controls not working

I have a joying head unit and thought maybe the canbus or another harness was incorrectly plugged but after breaking my head the last hour, I can’t find the issue. Any ideas before I wait forever for mechanic to find his error?

I'd bet they missed a connector or ground when they put it back together, certainly easy enough to do with the sheer amount of stuff that has to be unplugged and removed. That's why I always do a pre and post code scan on every vehicle I touch so I know if something was there before I touched it or I potentially caused an issue that I need to address.

I'd say take it back to them and give them a chance to make it right.

I mean meanwhile if you have the truck it wouldn't hurt to poke around under the dash and around the kick panels looking for something that isn't connected properly.

Where were they working? Evaporator for what?

Being that you have an aftermarket head unit, I'm far more inclined to suspect they followed procedure and disconnected your battery, which lost settings.

Bsm is the only weird one, but if they did anything at the rear of the truck it's possible they missed a connection.

In that case, you better call them and as soon as they pick up, start screaming at rock concert volume that you're going to send their entire extended family on a fishing trip with concrete shoes if this isn't resolved within the next day.

Because screaming and death threats are well known to motivate people to solve problems promptly. Just look at the global success of North Korea.
