Really loaded the truck for the first time yesterday. 1300lbs of red oak flooring, 952sqft. She didn't love it, but handled it well. The most surprising thing was that I was getting 22mpg average while it was loaded. Max speed of 55, but still. My normal average is 17-18.

Thankfully the taco is an easy vehicle to disassemble the interior.

The wire routing from the grille, to the left hand switch panel, and to the back of the head unit was the most difficult part due to access. I've had to work in smaller more confined environments but it's no less aggravating.

I would say tedious, and if you wanna route the wire the correct way, you need a "wire fish" or something similar to pass it through the firewall grommet. I've already ran one wire though the grommet with my hood latch cable, and I temporarily ran the wire on the outside of that grommet, because I need to find a permanent solution, Since I couldn't fit it through the existing hole with the hood latch cable.

I'm gonna use a heated up screw driver to melt a hole through it probably, and then immediately pass the wire though as to try and make a water tight seal. Trying to get the wire through the bulkhead grommet was a good bit of my frustration before just giving up and temporarily placing on the outside of the grommet. Going to handle that this weekend.

Other than that however I tested functionality on everything once I made connections and then cleaned up the wire routing with panduit ties. If you got the same Anytime camera I did, double check it's a fitment with your existing mount. The $40 3D printed one I bought with my V2 grille didn't work with mine, as it was probably for the factory camera, to which my truck didn't come with. I was able to fabricate a mount out of left over carbon however.

Would a cheap soldering iron work any better?

EDIT: Bad idea, too many wires close by you could damage...

It'll hopefully tackle the whole first floor of our house. With 10-12% waste.

I was never gonna go highway speeds, and the struts are still strong. No need to tie it up.

Cut the inserts out of foil and stuck em on the tailgate. The cool thing is that it is reflective foil. Combined looks with safety.

I know -lots of discussions if necessary or not. Sure thing it does not hurt! Installed the ARB rear differential breather relocation. Added some protective tube since that original tube will get brittle soon I guess.

Installed YotaXpedition's TRD Pro grille with some amber running lights yesterday. Happy with the final look but the companies tolerances are not the greatest. Had to shave away the ends of the running lights so that they would fit into the grille. One of the clips in the TSS garnish cover also had so much excess inside the clip itself I had to cut it out so that the clip could move back and forth and snap into the grille. I was expecting to have to do some work getting everything to fit since it's not OEM , so no big deal. First real mod I've done to the truck, happy with how it's turned out for sure.

I typically do my own oil changes , tire rotation. For drive train fluid changes brakes etc probably Westside Auto in Maple Ridge. We have been taking our vehicles there for years and the owner of the shop,is a long time member of the BC4x4 association
