2004 5 lug LT build thread/questions

alright guys i bought this 2004 deluxe 5 lug as is finally got it the other day. its got good bones but its a little rough been sitting in someones yard a few years.

total chaos long travel with fox shocks all around. cold air intake aftermarket rad with electric fan, quick disconect steering wheel, all sorts of mods done to it. going to go through and start cleaning it up, ive never ha had a 1st gen what should i look for what are some common problems? its 2.4l, i drained oil yesterday to make sure it looked good (bit of condensation under the cap scared me) planning on flushing radiator this weekend, and checking all the fluids. the lower control arms look to have had lower ball joint failure and been moddifed to fix it. hopefully i can get the alighment all dialed back in. ive only had a few minutes to play with the truck been busy with work. any ideas for mods or upgrades or maintence things i should check let me know. its not going to be driven much besides my dirt road untill i know everything is 100% i want her looking like a brand new truck but built (only 89k miles)

 

just dumped a bunch of photos, ive had a bit more time to go through it was a gamble buying it without looking at it. its rougher then the pics in the add showed but i can fix it im sure. looks like it came down hard on the driver side and the wheel blew the wheel well out, the coolant resi leaks, the driver side fan is missing from the rad, the core support is cracked and the wheel well is fucked up. and the alighnment is fucked on the driver side. spare tire carrier nut broke off and stuck in place (ill weld a nut on and get it off this weekend) exaust leak. looks like someone jumped the shit out of it, busted a few things then let it sit for half a decade.

trying to get a plan somewhat put together. frame looks solid so i think im good to just cut the front end off and do a cage, ideally a "simple" cage if possible as i dont want to run any bump stops or change my shock towers or anything just want to get rid of the body damage. anyone got any cage ideas for 5 lugs? looking at the rebuilt 2rz from yota one , ive read some good things about them on some forum posts, with a super charger from lce.

also can anyone tell me anything about the radiator pictured? i have 0 experience with aftermarket rads, want to replace the missing fan, posibly even the radiator as there is some minor damage to the fin i can snap better pics of later. i expected it to be in rough shape and didnt pay much for the truck so im not worried about any of this just want to get a solid game plan set up before i start throwing more money at it
