I just recently put new rotors and pads, as well as flushed the brake fluid out with new fluid. I bleed the brakes by my self, so I most likely did not do it perfectly, but there is still a good amount of pedal travel. How much is normal? I drive several F150/250s, and they have nowhere near as much travel as my truck does.
I have not changed the rear brakes, so that may be the reason, but drums don't do enough to cause it imo.

Adjusting the rear shoes is 100% the next step, they dictate pedal travel based on how much they move.

The front and back both try to move together?

The shoes being out of adjustment means more hydraulic fluid is needed to push the shoes apart, meaning your foot pushes down further to make the drums spread further.

By adjusting the shoes you get better pedal feel, on top of maintaining the rear brakes for better operation.
