I have a 2017 trd off road Tacoma and am looking to add a 8” mid bass in my rear doors. I’m having a hard time finding anything online that’s a speaker adapter for an 8” the original rear door speaker size is 6.5 and I need a bracket/spacer to fit an 8”. Does anyone know of anything?

You can definitely fit them with some custom ABS adapters and a little bit of grinding on the metal cutouts of the door. The only caveat is that they have to be shallow. I tried to fit some hertz audio 8s and the motor was just too deep. I ended up going with some deaf bonce 6.5s instead. It’s rear fill anyways so 8s aren’t even really needed.

now you can for sure fit some beefy 8s in the front doors with no cutting as long as you get the right adapters. I got mine from soundsgoodstereo.
