    Hey guys,

After my 2000 tacoma 2.4L SR5 (Column shifter) sometimes would and sometimes wouldn't pop out of park, I took apart the steering wheel and found out what was broken. I just need help finding out the part number or the name of it so I can either buy another one OR somehow fix it. In the pics, you can see the white plastic circular shape is broken in half which is why it's no longer reeling back the small R shaped safety piece back in which what keeps it stuck in park. Thanks!

That little plastic piece broke on mine a year ago...

I just took a piece of wire and forced that paw to stay up so its no longer locked

everything short of those bushings are gonna be discontinued around that column

coincidently the key inter lock when out about the same time...
that I had to unplug that connector under the ignition switch going into it to defeat it..
door chime was also on that plug......so that went down too by unplugging that

Highly doubt that stuff is still available, that's a 25 year old truck

Best bet would be a scrapyard column most likely. Call 410 Auto Wrecking in Buckley Washington, they specialize in toyota
