Title says it all. Trying to get to the bottom the of the exact color used for the heritage bronze on badges, wheels, and center caps.

Ordered 4T0 touch up. Painted it onto white cardboard. Comparison photo included.

Now... Who can figure out the real color code?

How do you know that the touch up paint is correct.. plus when painting the base color makes a difference how the top color turns out

Not a paint expert but the heritage bronze looks like a metal flake. If you spray a heavy coat of metal flake it will pool the flakes and look a lot darker.

I’d find a white piece of plastic and try it. Maybe even hit some plastic with white primer and try it on that. Cardboard is going to absorb some of the solvents and things in the paint making it look different than what it is.

This -- and also -- are your badges starting to chip and flake somehow?

No. Not at all. I'm trying to tease out the color and finish (4T0 is also glossier and the heritage bronze is matte).
Purpose being to provide a color code for brake covers

I get it. So you’re trying to get the brake caliper covers to pop in the same shade as the bits of what Toyota is calling “heritage bronze”. Which is distinct from bronze oxide, 6X1.

    Correct.
Bronze Oxide is a body color. 6X1.
Heritage Bronze is an accent color that's been used multiple times by Toyota for emblems and wheels - you can get the TH wheels in it, you can even get Corolla cross wheels in it.

Other historical posts hypothesized the color might be the old body colors 4T0 or 4T8. 4T8 looks way off to me. I bought a touch-up paint jar of 4T0 to see how close or far it actually was. It's clearly not a match either - the color saturation and the sheen are incorrect. The parts dept at the local dealership said Toyota doesn't provide them paint codes for wheels and accents.

Hence this thread - trying to find out the actually color that one would consider a useable match. Where it could be used on other parts to coordinate.

Be it a body color code or a HEX or RGB or RAL code

Multiple threads in historical forums speculated but no one offered up photos or confirmation/denial.
