    It’s totally normal
Like someone said it’s the Cleaning cycle , don’t put one bit of worry into it . People always seem to get freaked out by it . You need to worry more when you hear a thumping sound from the bottom of the motor lol

    finally got around to it.
first: this stethoscope is fantastic. in the past i have used the screwdriver to the ear trick, but this thing is amazing. it really isolates a noise from the rest of the racket under the hood.
i checked the hpfp first and it had some noise, to be expected since it is mechanical, and sounded just fine.
then i checked the vacuum pump. it is louder and i believe the source of the loudest racket.
if you want to pin point where a noise is coming from, i highly recommend this tool. i did not expect it to be so useful (and cheap).

edit: just checked link since i paid $7 and pic in post says $16. keepa says it jumped to $16 a few days ago but it is back down to $7 again. don't pay $16.

were you able to figure it out? I got the same noise and it’s driving me up a wall too.
