Do you hear the loud rattle tapping sound upon accelerating or did the kilmat take care of it. I installed the insulator from Toyota but I still hear it. It might be a little quieter

I've never heard a loud rattle like some describe but I did hear the injectors just a touch. That has certainly been reduced.

Very carefully ;) seriously, it was a bitch. You have to remove all of the upper trim on the A, B, and C pillars which means removing the lower trim on B and C. You also have to remove the rear light, front roof console, sun visors, rear coat hangers and the grab handle on the passenger side. The grab handle was the most difficult but all probably require some experience with interior trim. If you ha e the sunroof, there is also heavy duty velcro all around the opening.
With all of this, you still can fully remove the headliner because of some wiring going to the front mirror/camera housing. I just let it hang gently and worked around it.

I amngoing to do the doors and see. I highly doubt it am willing to tear the headliner that much. I had to pull the rear part to remove the 3rd light because I was routing an after market rear camera for the rearview camera that I installed and it was hard enough.

Has anyone added the OEM hood insulator panel to a manual transmission 4G? How did it go? I wouldn't mind quieting some of the clattering of the engine, but I would be sad if the turbo spooling noises were diminished!

Should work fine, the hoods are not different underneath. My manual transmission has it because its a premium package

I purchased a Carista OBD tool. You’ll have to pay at least a one month subscription to make the changes. I turned off piped in engine noise, blinkers go five times instead of three when you 1/2 pull the stalk, all seatbelt chimes off, and all windows down and sunroof open if you long hold the key fab.
The dealer can make those changes too but I bet they won’t turn off the seatbelt chime. I figured what the hourly rate at a shop was more than the OBD tool.
