Painting Chrome Rear Bumper

Hello!

Just as the title says, I'm thinking about painting my rear bumper black. As I go about removing more chrome from the rest of the truck it sticks out more and more. It's in good shape, so I don't just want to replace it. I'm planning on plastidipping it but wanted to come on here and see if anybody had painted theirs and what worked.
Pic is not my truck but sort of what I'm going for.

Looks body color in the pic (to me) which looks better than black would.

If you want it black, remove it, prep it and finish with monstaliner

 

It'll be easier and quicker to get a set of Bumper Shellz. You can get them color matched or in matte black. Did my black bumper in super white to match the truck better.

 

I had my chrome bumper powder coated black 7 years ago and it still looks great.
