Sorted out my on board water setup.

I got tired of the water hose constantly being in the way. Not being able to shut the tailgate and hatch at night without putting the hose on the bed was annoying.

Started redoing my rear seat delete.

Ditching the busted cheapo 5/8” particle board and replacing it with 3/4” MDF.

Added a second row of USB / 12v sockets to the bed side.

    And finally changed the oil.

I usually only make it about 3 months between oil changes, made it almost 5 this time. Definitely slacking on adventures.

I also changed the gear oil in the trans.

And im still chasing down a vibration and slop in the steering wheel.

Ive repalced the rack bushings, intermediate shaft, rag joint, TREs, and tie rods.

Im about 95% sure the aftermarket intermediate shaft and rag joint are just junk parts. Or the rack itself is finally going bad.

Replaced the junk aftermarket steering shafts with OEM parts

    upload_2024-8-13_15-15-43.jpg

    Replaced the firewall bushing too

    upload_2024-8-13_15-16-6.jpg

    Vibration and clunking 100% gone.

It drives like a new truck.

I just need to mount the new tires now.

I redid the wiring harness for the chase lights as one of the plugs was corroded.

    upload_2024-8-13_15-17-21.jpg

And I found the issue with the light bar harness and redid that. It melted against something hot at some point.

    upload_2024-8-13_15-19-8.jpg

And lastly, I replaced the awning material on my one awning. The old material was destroyed. It has a buncha pin holes melted into it from the last 2 years of camping. After the last really soggy camping trip, it was very evident it needed replaced.

    upload_2024-8-13_15-20-45.jpg

    And I took a picture.

    upload_2024-8-13_15-21-8.jpg

    Next up -

Redo the exterior shell light pod harness and reseal the pods.

Upgraded the 50ah FLA house battery to a 100ah Weize AGM battery.

    upload_2024-9-18_0-51-45.jpg

    upload_2024-9-18_0-52-8.jpg

This was the cheapest, easiest upgrade to get more capacity out of the existing dual battery system.

    Next up :

Alignment cam delete & fresh alignment.

Nothing much to update on at all.

But I’m getting bored with how the truck looks and I want to change it up a bit.

So I’ve been working on a to do list for once it warms up outside.

    - reinstall colormatched Satoshi grille

    - reinstall colormatched door handles

    - Plastidip or paint rear bumper black

    - orange Laminex aux fog lights

    - orange Laminex OEM fog lights

    - redo the retrofits with all black guts

    - maybe Plastidip the wheels black

    - alignment cam delete

    - colormatch shell maybe?
