    Hello everyone!
    The plan:
For the front I plan on lifting my 2WD 98 xtracab with 3" lift spindles in the front and AAL (Add A Leaf) in the rear. Im choosing the Fabtech 3" lift spindles because they dont effect the geometry and ride quality, they simply just give you a 3" lift in the front which is preferable to me because I want to keep the ride quality and geometry as stock as possible.
For the rear I plan on obviously moving the axle under the leaf springs and then adding a leaf if needed to have the truck level (preferably a 3-4" lift in the rear, to get specifically 3.5" is preferable because I like having a slight rake for when loading up weight in the back and I plan on having a camper shell on it in the winter and when camping in the summer so that added weight will level it out. Not to mention I am going to get the bed sprayed with Line X which will add a little weight) I dont want to add blocks because they cause a much harsher ride, I added rear blocks in my 89 Pickup and imo it felt horrid, and the price difference between blocks and AAL is not much and doesnt matter to me. I would prefer getting new leaf spring packs for the back which are designed to give a 3-4" lift but I havent found any that fit my vehicle. I am also aware that AAL will result in the ride being a little stiffer, from my research blocks are a lot worse for ride quality, plus AAL slightly increases max load capacity which honestly will almost never be needed, but still a plus
Ideally I would like to run tires with a diameter of 30-31 (as long as no rubbing / very minor occasional rubbing when on trails) instead of the tires which are around 27" in diameter, with 30" tires the truck will obviously be 1.5" higher which will be nice. But as long as i could fit tires around 29" id be happy

    My questions:

How much of a lift does moving the axle under the leafs add? is a AAL needed?

Are there any problems when moving the axle under the leaf spring? for example, does the axle come in contact with the bolt that holds all the leafs together?

Would it be better to get 4x4 leafsprings (which have less arch) before putting the axle under the leafs? and if anyone has done this how much did it lift the rear?

When moving the axle under the leafs (and possibly adding a leaf if its needed) should I add axle degree shims due to the change in the angle of the driveline? if so does anyone know about what degree the shim should be?

Does anyone see any problems Id run into when doing this?

Does anyone have suggestions for a different way to lift my vehicle that will be better than what i named for ride quality and geometry? I only want about a 3", definely not less than 2"(doesnt seem worth it imo if its only 2") and not more than 4.5"

    P.S
Before everyone bashes me about lifting a 2WD truck let me just say that I plan to add a LSD or locker later down the line as well as a winch. Not to mention so many 4x4 owners never go off roading on trails where they actually need 4WD. And I get everyone loves their 4x4's (I mean why would you not??) but 2WD trucks are very capable as well especially when they get more body clearance, larger tires and a LSD or locker. Plus I dont plan to do any extreme off roading where you definitely need 4WD, and if I do get stuck I will have my winch to help me out.

Thank you for any help answering my questions and advise.
