Great topic! I'm not sure how I haven't stopped in to check this out sooner!

I used to be pretty diehard. But, I'm more of a fair weather griller now. We had some nice weather last weekend and I ate well!

Friday I did grilled shrimp with some sautéed squash and onions. I wished the shrimp had a bit more color, but I was afraid I'd overcook them.



Saturday I did a sous vide Tomahawk, with mushrooms and onions. 2.5 hours at 129°, then let it rest before a reverse sear on a hot grill with butter. The crust was fantastic! One of the better pieces of meat I've cooked.

 

The Weber is doing straight work these days. Steak salad tonight. I gave them a simple olive oil pat down, salted all sides, fresh cracked pepper, and some rosemary & thyme. Money

Whiskey was consumed during preparation.

Bacon wrapped jalapeno with cream cheese. Looked like hell after grilling them but tasted delicious. 40mph winds made it difficult to keep the grill lit and deal with just about anything outdoors.

Today's lunch, Top sirloin with the traditional sides.

I think this counts, my daughter and I had lunch out by the Columbia River yesterday.



I seared some flank steak that was marinated in an Asian style sauce, boiled some lo mein noodles, and tossed them in a bowl with some teriyaki sauce. Super quick and easy.

We even had a helicopter flyby to make it dinner and a show.
