Decel vibrations on used truck - keep truck or not?

    Toyota denied this was a problem in the 2nd gens. Then Mike Sweers (chief engineer for Tacoma/Tundra at the time) admitted during one of the early 3rd gen interviews that it was a problem on the 2nd gen. Memory is fuzzy, something like they changed a combination of the bushing around the center carrier bearing and the angle of the rear drive shaft.

    Thank you everyone. I decided to sell the '21 Tacoma back to the dealer I bought it from. They put quite a bit of effort into trying to pin down the cause of the vibration, and when that was unsuccessful, are being very accommodating with their buyback offer. I'm purchasing a 2025 Tacoma, and will post in that forum.
