Does this make you a crack head..?

That doesn’t look like a crack to me. Just imperfect machining.

That's a parting line from the casting process.

The only potential damage I see is the intake manifold where that bolt goes through. Looks like a small corner of the manifold has broken off? :notsure:

Actually misalignment in the casting patterns. Very common and not a problem.

Should I have someone weld/patch it or will that cause more problems?

wow, this thread is confusing. So crack that OP thought was a crack is not a crack but there's another crack that he didn't see in first place?

That just looks like a chip in the valve cover. If it's not leaking, leave it alone.

My advice is drive the damn truck! You are going to drive yourself nuts looking for imperfections in a mega mass-produced pick em up truck.

Yep - that’s a parting line in the casting. (blue arrows) Don’t go messing with it or trying to weld it.

As Jakerou said, if the pattern blocks are not aligned, you will get flash or an ‘overhang’ feature like yours. It’s an external cosmetic feature only. Common. Nothing wrong with the casting.

Not sure what’s going on in the (red) areas. Gap, something oozing out, chipped/cracked?

If all you were concerned about was the parting line, and nothing else is acting up, then up to you if you want to poke around or not.

The RTV squeezes out during engine assembly. You'll find it on most engines, regardless of manufacturer.
The gap (where I wrote "possible oil seepage") is just a gap. The gasket is there to prevent oil leaks, the vale cover should not be tight to the head.
The last part is either a chipped valve cover where someone was in there (screwdriver to pry it up), or the valve cover wasn't fully formed when it was cast.

Your engine is not cracked, it's just a casting mark. Also known as "casting flash"
