2023 cover forward of rear view mirror falling off

Bought a 2023 Tacoma SR5 from Carmax. Safelite replaced the forward windshield at some point. Needless to say, on the top outside edges, the windshield is flush with the leading edge of the roof, but the center is depressed, (inset) like 1/4 of an inch. Carmax agreed it was a problem, probably the reason that the cover is falling off. ( because it’s lower). Getting the windshield replaced. Will see if it fixes the problem.

didn’t know if anyone has seen this type of thing with safelite windshields

 

Ask for a Pilkington windshield.

 

Got the windshield replaced. It’s perfectly aligned now. The cover hasn’t fallen off. Windshield has been in for a couple of weeks
