Planning...suspension, front slimline bumper, winch, full skids, 2" lift, SCS Ray 10's, Pizza cutters, Power Tray, Switch-Pro, Alu-Cab Contour Canopy.
The 265/70/16 is an SL which means it is has a lower ply rating and the standard sidewall while the 255/85/16 has the Duraspec sidewall which is the 3-ply and is C-rated which is 6-ply (rated). That is why it is so much heavier.

But the c rated Wildpeak is only 4 lbs lighter than the E rated KO2. All three appear to have similar specs t he ko2 does have a little more weight capacity.

Falkens have thicker, more cut resistant side walls making them weight more.

Also, if you research other tires, you'll notice that manufacturers who make the same size in both C and E rated have very little difference in weight. The biggest differences are seen between SL and all the other load ratings.

Is anyone running a 295/70/17 or 285/75/17 at4w? Wondering what they look like on a taco. You folks like em even though they’re HEAVY af?
