    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
I’d stick with the AT3w then, that’s what I’m running now, 285 70 17 C load. I like picking up the Jeep rubicon take offs for cheap. The KO2 did better in snow braking than the AT4w, this guy did multiple runs with a raptor testing tires.

and the Fast Lane on YouTube tested snow braking and accelerating from 30 mph

Understanding you haven't had these tires for long, how do you like them? I'm on E's right now and looking to go down to C's, when these wear out. I was wondering about the ride quality of AT4W's in this size because they're quite heavy for C's. In general, smooth on highways with your typical bump, crack?

Hey guys - I’m switching from Falken AT4Ws in E load to an SL. The Es are too stiff. Discount Tire let me take a look at them in the size I wanted in addition to the Baja boss (also SL). To my surprise the Falken sidewall felt super stiff compared to the Baja boss. I don’t recall how stiff the E sidewalls before I mounted them but to my memory they were similar. Before I pull the trigger on the SLs does anyone have experience with both? Please don’t flame me for this question - just looking to see if anyone has tried an E and an SL Falken AT4 and noticed a significant difference in ride quality.

I went from an Cooper S/T Max in E to Falken AT3Ws in SL and noticed a big difference. Less stiff, smoother ride, and a noticeable increase in pep in acceleration. I saw no difference in gas mileage.
The only negative difference is the SL tread depth is much more shallow and they don't look as mean as the E. (But they use a longer lasting rubber compound so they last just as long)

Thanks sir! One cool thing about the AT4W in SL is it looks pretty damn aggressive as well with just a slightly shallower tread

It's my understanding that the AT4W tread pattern and tread deapth are the same on both the SL and the E versions. Not sure if anyone can confirm that??

My taco has 265/75R16 KO2's, as well as 265/70R17 Micheline X-Ice SUV tires for my winters.
My Jeep JKU Rubicon is currently running stock size (255/80R17) AT3W's until I find new rims/33's that I want. Just the one tire all year for now.
I live outside of Edmonton AB, so have a pretty good understanding of all driving conditions I would think, everything from melty mushy heavy snow to pure ice highway driving at -30C.

I have not driven the KO2's in winter and don't intend to while I have the winter tires for it, but I have driven the Jeep in everything, including conditions where I think I should have just taken the Taco on real winter tires. But the AT3W's have really impressed me for being an AT tire for how well it does on the Jeep and not being a dedicated or studded winter Ice tire. I really have nothing bad to say about them. But everything I have seen and read, there will be no point for either of my vehicles to ride on the AT4W's. I would rather try the KO3's next.

The last winter tire I drove on my Jeep was the Cooper Discover AT-W, a previous gen winter AT tire and I will be honest, that tire, for me, was the worst tire I have driven on. Not good at anything offroading, and was a terrible actual dedicated winter tire, I didn't have a good experience with that one.

The ride quality seems great considering their heavier weight. Driving on the highway seems to be more smooth than my previous BFG KO2s. I keep them around 33 psi. Very impressed with them so far

My last set of AT3W’s (SL) were 4/5-32nds at 35k, I was hoping to get more out of them. Guess I’m just one of the unlucky ones that had shorter life. Took a giant spike to the tire that expedited the new tires - went with the new Terra Grapples in LT and quickly realized I’m not about the Eload lifestyle, so back it went for AT4W’s. Hoping these last longer.

Came from 2 sets of erated Yokohama Geo G003. Was done with erated tires. What a great Tire Falkens are. Not looking back. Ride quality has improved significantly. Smooth like butter. 265/75/16 Hitting up Death Valley This week

Level 8 Trackers. I believe Level 8 went out of business, but you might still be able to find some in stock somewhere. But these at discount tire appear to be almost identical (Minus the center cap).

I got these because they reminded me of the the Mickey Thompson wheels I always wanted in High school in the 80s.

Ah yeah I can totally see those resembling old Mickey Thompson’s. Awesome, thanks for the link!

Mine will not stay balanced. This makes 6 times they’ve been balanced… it will last about 200 miles then the shake returns. All 4 will be out. I’m so sick of dealing with balance issues, I’ve had 5 different tires, rebuilt the whole front end, new suspension. I don’t know what to do

Is anyone running a 295/70/17 or 285/75/17 at4w? Wondering what they look like on a taco. You folks like em even though they’re HEAVY af?
