TRD Sport drive mode dial

    Minor question - when I test drove a '25 Tacoma, the physical drive mode dial (sport, normal, econ) will rotate through the entire 360 degrees, even though there are only 3 drive modes and continuing to turn the dial after that has no effect. This is intentional?

    I would've guessed it would act more like an air vent dial (with select stops) than say a radio volume or tuning knob.

    @TacomaForNow A rotary encoder without detents is cheaper than one with and more flexible (you can use the same part number with trucks having different number of drive modes, for example). So that's what we get. Pretty much every new car is this way.
