I find the seats in my 4G one of the best parts of the truck. I'm 6' 2" and love the legroom, seating position, and overall comfort of the seats. I came from a '22 Nissan Frontier, and those seats were noticeably narrower, but decently comfortable too. I grew to dislike the Nissan's steering feel and drivability, so I upgraded to the Toyota. But I learned from that experience that I (at least) need to drive the trucks a lot more than a typical 15 minute test drive to tell if if its going to work (or not) for me. I have back issues, and the seats are critical, as is the overall driving position. I have to admit that I originally wanted the old tech of a 3G but after just sitting in one, I realized the seating position wasn't going to help my back as much as the 4G. I think I drove various 4G trucks at least 4 different times (the last test drive I was allowed to keep it for 2 hours to "live" with it as the salesperson said, and they earned my business as a result) before purchasing one to be sure.

That's a lot of assumption. Do you read? :jerkoff:

well, I can own a 4G and still be a troll too.

On another note, I found the back adjustment and set it to go all the way back, providing some improvement.

Would love for the lateral supports to be more narrow or adjustable though. Oh well. Maybe I'll just get fat instead.

Comfort is all a matter of opinion. I agree 2G seats were great on the sport.

The wide seats are for when you take that Applebee's waitress out on a date but she doesn't want you to see her place, and you don't think she'd get along with your wife either.

Right? In all the video interviews he gave during the 4G introduction, it was hard to take him seriously with him looking like that. If you can't take care of your body, do you have any business taking care of engineering my truck?

Last video I have seen he was in Japan. Don't know how much of that was an intervention.

That would be @Itchyfeet. Highly unpopular with the mods, but by gawd that son of a bitch should have held a doctorate in creative prose.

Well, have you seen the 3rd gen head engineer Sweers vs the 4th gen Sheldon.

4th gen made for those richy richy big-ol Americans, not for us skinny poors :rofl::rofl:

Just got my 4th Gen a week ago. Offroad, premium package, softex seats. Love it.

Most importantly the seats are way more comfortable than my 2nd Gen Offroad! Better adjustments, better lumbar support, my wife loves the heated seats - so I’m happier.

Driving around town and on the freeway, the seat width is fine.

But on narrow and winding mountain roads I definitely slide sideways. My wife also noticed this on her first ride, which was on a mountain roads.

For all the adjustability of the seats it does seem like Toyota could have added adjustments to the back width.

    I’m 6’ and 180 lbs.

I drove my 4G from Texas to Ohio a couple of weeks ago…1,000 miles in approx. 16 hrs. I’m 6’ 190#. Exceptionally comfy, especially since that same trip in my ‘08 Tundra would have me squirming for a better seat position every few hours.

Typical 3G owner talking crap about the 4G out of envy. They are all trolls. Stop giving them time and energy and ignore them.
