Does anyone know if there is a way to permanently turn off Wireless Android Auto/Carplay? I greatly prefer wired AA/CP because it is far more stable.

Turning off the wifi setting on the Pioneer doesn't work, as the handsfree BT connect would turn it back on automatically to start AA/CP.

I've got one of these on the way for my 2020 SR. This thread has a lot to read through- if I'm looking to do a flush install what are my options for volume control? Maestro for steering wheel controls? Does the on screen UI also have volume controls?

The one thing I miss are physical buttons/knob on the HU for volume control. I hate the touch screen for that so I pretty much only use the steering wheel volume controls.

ok so I've done some reading through this and the other DMH 6600NEX pioneer head unit threads. I understand that you can use a front camera via the head unit but i'm looking to do the front and rear anytime camera mod via a physical button. so far I haven't seen a good breakdown on how if anyone has done this with this head unit. does anyone have any insight on this and how hard it was? thanks in advance.

Hello, and thank you in advance for helping me figure this out.

I have a 2018 Tacoma Limited with the JBL system and the 2.0 entune package. I purchased a DMH-WC6600NEX along with a Maestro RR and the wiring harness. My next step is to solder the wires on the harness, but I noticed that the Maestro diagram states that speaker connections are not required.

I just want to confirm that I do not need to connect the individual speaker wires, including the two RCA connectors shown at the top of the diagram (LF-RCA-input and RF-RCA-input)

    Thank you!

I figured out my previous question, but I have another one. Has anyone encountered the TPMS displaying opposite sides between the dash and the Pioneer system? It looks mirrored.

I can't seem to find this easily. Has anyone connected the factory USB plug/port into the one on the back of the stereo? I was wondering if this can be done to use wired Carplay if desired.

I was asking if you can plug the USB from the headunit into the factory USB port?

Yes, there is a cable that connects the HU to your factory usb in the center console.
That’s what I use for software updates since the wireless/app way doesn’t always work for me.

    Without searching all 99 pages,

Is it possible to stream Youtube and other tv media on the 6600nex/7600nex radios while driving? It appears sony won't allow this hack/feature on their 9500es.

There was a screen hack to keep all things working while driving that I did and it worked. I routed a cable to a FireTV stick into my glove box and it was pretty sweet. Been a while and several HU firmware updates since I’ve done that though, not sure it still works.
