Nice man, your rig handled that like it was nothing!

Didn’t get as much time with it as I wanted last weekend and still in the steep part of the learning curve so everything is taking longer than expected… But got the bottom frame solid and ground and feeling more confident for the top! Pretty proud of most of my welds except for the inside verticals which were a disaster :rofl:It all worked out after some time with the grinder though! Will get back at it this weekend!

    IMG_2180.jpg

Decided I need a little right angle die grinder and trying to decide on battery or air. Surface prep sucked and it was tough to get in to the corners with my pig of a tool.

Looks like a perfectly welded frame!

You see now how I described the design - 16 gauge plate on top of that would easily support tons of weight. My setup is a pig.

LOL yup, I’ll learn… I was worried about my wife bumping it with the car, now I’m worried about the car!

Yeah that happened to me lol. The little weld nut inside the arm that the bump stop threads into breaks off easily. I got it off by pulling up on it with a pry bar while simultaneously turning it loose. Then just JB welded the new one which lasted awhile until Moab lol

At least the threads were clean so I didn't need to bust out the pry bar, just pulled up on it while twisting it off by hand.

I wonder if they have a riv nut that would be deep enough to work. I need to pick up a kit to do some riv nuts on my father inlaw's hand railing for their stairs to so now I may have an extra excuse to buy some tools

I have a full set of new oem bump stops for spares plus 6 more new bumps from Perry Parts and a couple of the original ones I bought from him still have life left in them. I might have to start using them for door stops in the house

maybe I'll do a couple giveaway/raffle or something I think there's a few of us in here that could abuse them and help give more feedback.

When i was in highschool someone actually brought an AR and several mags with them to school

Was back like 3 days later

Idk if he was serious or not because he told enough people for the cops to be waiting for them at the front door... could've just been really dumb

Just picked up Milwaukees m12 right angle. Super impressed. Bought all the little accessory kits too. Little mad they announced a new/updated version right after I bought mine.

I still have some parts in the queue. I need some LCA bushings and motor mounts. I will order those from the Birmingham store.

Thanks for the feedback! That one was near the top of my list because of the size, but I was a little afraid at 12v it wouldn’t have enough juice to do much other than strip paint… If this thing gets the job done, I’ll give it a closer look! I’ve got a Home Depot gift card burning a hole in my pocket…
