Hello everyone, I have this Taco project I have been working on for 5 years, always thinking, just one more year and it will be done. I am at an age that I cannot continue with it, so I’m going to have to sell it as is, and am seeking advice on what I should ask for it. It runs and drives, but needs lights wired and the body finished.

Does it have a new water pump, thermostat and coolant and a new rear wheel bearing?

This will make a fine coffin for a rube in some backwater town where people fight over whether they have more teeth or chromosomes. OP you should make a video of it doing jumps to show off the structural integrity.

Obviously in its current state no:facepalm:

If this was a working truck with a clean title before hand.. this could probably be street legal by adding a windshield, mirrors, and other small things.

If this truck was wrecked and rebuilt into this farm monstrosity, it clearly won't pass any state inspection to be road legal as it is and probably never would.

One biggie is some form of passive restraint (seatbelts). Some wipers/washers would be beneficial. And is the exterior lighting DOT compliant? Call up Hagerty, give 'em your credit card and they'll insure anything.

The only way I can tell that's a "Tacoma" is the fancy cardboard rear license plate.

Other than that it looks like a chopped-up Hummvee.

It has a clean title. It would be street legal with lights, windshield, and seat belts (of which I have).

    Miles on drive line?

    Type of driveline?

    Type of suspension?

My first swag is pricing a similar 95 in rough condition. As the high starting point.

Is the parking stick/brake included with the vehicle?

You could probably sell it to someone looking for a frame, assuming it is good and you haven’t messed with it.

Probably the only way you would get any sort of accurate valuation is to talk with people who have done similar builds. (Has a very SEMA look to it)

Im guessing at this point the only Toyota parts are the full drive line & dash / steering column?

The drive line is stock except for adding rear disk brakes. 164,000 miles. This was made to be a street legal UTV that a hunter might use to get outfield, or use as a utility vehicle on a property. It has a trailer receiver on the front and rear, winch. All stock functions work, except air bags and a/c.
