Passenger DRL

Recently installed LED fog lamp bezels utilizing T-shaped wiretaps. My driver side works completely fine.

The passenger side won’t illuminate my amber as a DRL. Wondering if anyone could shed some light on what to look at/repair.

I can post pictures of the taps and my issue if needed.

When I saw the wire taps the first time, I thought they might be too good to be true. Hoping that’s not the case.

How did you tap into the DRL. I used a t harness for both DRL and the turn signals. I don’t like t taps.

 

Used T-taps on both sides. Passenger one failed mechanically initially (literally just broke) so I had to wait for a new one for the amber turn signal functionality.

Do you happen to have a link for those harnesses? I can undo the t-taps pretty easily and I'd assume just wrap the "bite" up with some electrical tape to seal off the wiring from outside forces.

The fact that just ONE of the DRL's is affected is what irks me the most about all of this.

 

Also to note.. issue only occurs when my actual headlight illuminates. When the lights automatically turn to DRL due to ambient lighting, I get both ambers.

To summarize all of this up:

Turns out the lamp on the passenger turn signal had something wonky with it.. no wiring issues. Moved that bad boy over to the driver side and the gripe followed.

So.. I ordered some LASFIT LED turn signals and everything is now upgraded and works like a charm.

 

Message Puppypunter here on forum. The harnesses make it nice and easy to install. The two that are passenger and driver are for the left/right turn signal’s. The DRL harness came from Diode Dynamic. Only one used one harness for the DRL’s
