Someone got a little comfy. Hopefully didn’t tear up too much of a mess on the harnesses and such.

Yeah that harness was toast but engine connection are good n ground harness. So hopefully I won't have to do to much with the stand alone

It was squirrels, there were acorn crumbs everywhere, they weren’t really interested in the harness, what killed the harness was age and heat cycling, connectors were very brittle and most were broken. The harness got replaced with one that integrated the engine to the truck’s electrical system, expensive but to me worth it, photo taken Dec of 2021.

Probably for a smaller footprint. Just remember that automotive manufacturers are in the business of selling new cars. They used to make them to be owned, now they are made to be leased.

Yes that is true I remember earlier 2000 when they started pushing leasing.

I am talking farther back, but yeah. Look at the build quality of a basic Mercedes from the 80's and they are tanks, will run forever if you change fluids. But things change. These days it's so easy to get a high HP engine for a swap that is very reliable on the cheap. So pros and cons I guess.

I have no idea, you will need the wiring diagrams for a 95 SC400 or volume 1 of the factory service manual for 95 SC400 it will give the pin-outs for the connectors at the ecu. Recommend you go to a web site that strictly deals with 1uz swaps, like on FB there is a site 1UZ Toyota pickup/4 runner swaps lots of good info there, higher likelihood of finding 95 SC400 wiring diagrams and answers for your swap, for example my ecu (93 sc400) has 3 40 pin connectors, yours (95 sc400) has 5 connectors dont know how many pins, so im not any help. Some tribal information: in 95 the 1UZ went to 10.5 to 1 pistons, became interference motor, be on your A game doing the timing belt and use quality parts again the FSM would be good to have as well.

I appreciate the very much yeah I was also trying to figure out if it was none interference, so far all I got it might be because the year. So that clears that up
