Just hit 30k on my Off-Road MT Tacoma and want to do some fluid changes

    - Rear and Front Diff
    - Transfer Case
    - Transmission (Looking at the Ford Motorcraft Full Synthetic MT Fluid right now)

Looking for some recommendations for Diff (Rear and Front), Transfer Case, and Transmission fluids. Also some tips on changing them are appreciated!

Make sure it is GL-4 synthetic gear oil for manual transmission. Toyota manual transmission has brass syncos, GL-5 will melt brass. Don't know about Ford, I would use Redline GL-4 75w-90 Synthetic Gear Oil.

Take out the fill plugs first. At least that way if something gets stripped, then your not empty of fluids while trying to repair. Get replacement gaskets for all of the plugs. The 'Zon has complete kits. Oil dry is your friend, ha. And when you're done, I usually dump all the fluids into a 5 gallon bucket and drop it at Auto Zone. But I also can't stand the smell of gear oil.
