Pulling a 16' camper with my 2014 Tacoma. I concern myself with the temperature of my transmission fluid. I've researched a transmission cooler that has my interest I hope to get some feedback on. Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit w/ Fan, -6 AN Inlets - Class V Derale Transmission Coolers D13960 Do I install and replace my factory cooler or add it with?

Temperature gauge that's plug and play if possible. I found the Scangauge 2, read that the transmission temp is not available for all models. Has anyone tested it on a 2014?

My 13 5 lug provides both trans temps (pan and converter) via SCII, so I'm sure your 14 does

You can just check the SC site and they'll show all PIDs available.

You are in the 1st gen forum if you didn’t realize that.

I have a derale cooler (no fans) plumbed in line with the existing one inside the radiator. I also added a separate in-line fluid filter from derale. I installed those parts about 8-9 years ago. They have been great, and I’d do it again.

Agreed, stay out of overdrive unless you’re incredibly flat or on a slight descent. Even then, I’d be careful if you don’t have realtime data coming back on trans temps. Might as well watch real time data for coolant too.
Maybe add a ScanGauge2 to your shopping list.
