Differential fill plug leaking??

    I agree, replace, even though you axle seal leaking may have nothing to do with the vent, sometimes they just leak...
    I have no idea what the toyota diff vent looks like, just generally speaking...
    Some vents have a top cap...
    The cap is suppose to be floating say in the middle position,
    sometimes the top cap gets shoved / pushed all the way down, bottomed-out, that will restrict venting.....
    Just bit of education is all, if it has a top cap & its moves, dont install it by shoving down on that....

    The stock plug kinda sucks because it’s so short. Even if you have snapon tools, getting it to not slip n strip is tricky. The Lexus plug is more robust and less likely to strip.

    If you let quickie oil change places touch your car, some goof ball can open up your differential without your consent just to show you the color of the gear oil. Then slam it back on with an impact driver and cross thread strip and chew it up. Happened to me the last and final time I used one of those places.
