What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Did the oem grill surround from member here, rci full skids in aluminum and sliders

 

I made a master list of parts I'm buying and installing on my truck. Parts # and all. Almost every source for what I'm doing is included.

 

Got tired of looking at these rusty shocks. I cleaned then up a few years ago while on the truck, but still got rusty. I applied fluid film every now and then. Not impressed with the corrision resistance of Bilstein shocks. Cleaned then up, neutralized rust, and clear coat. Looks good today.... we'll see what 12 months does.

 

New tire day! My final tire size I wanted was 285/75/17, which is roughly just under 34"x11.5". Suspension is totally stock, so they rub a bit on my flares and the cab mount, but nothing crazy. I'd wanted BFG KO2's, but my local shop only carries Falken, so Wildpeaks it is.

I have a 2" spacer lift to install next week. I don't offroad my truck, so it's just for tire clearance. I like to replace parts with an upgrade when the time comes, but my struts feel fine. I'll do a set of Fox or King coilovers at that point, and probably just an AAL kit in the rear.

 

Greased all U joints on drive shaft and replaced driver side CV axle

 

Used it as a sawhorse because all of my other sawhorses are in use.

What is the correct washer orientation for the UCA? Does the flange face inwards?

 

I wrapped my new shocks before install lol

 

I don’t know how she came out so white, the mom is dark red and the dad is the standard gold.

Another better pic of the 34's pre-lift. Curious to see if 2" of lift prevents all the rubbing, but guessing I'll still need to do some cutting and chopping.
