Hate to say it but “help” in the title is usually reserved for people who are stuck in the woods

Good luck with the drive shaft and welcome to TW!

Call your local, or local adjacent junk yard.

It seems like a silly unwritten rule, but this forum jumps into action when someone needs real help on the trail. It's great that this site reserves "help" for true emergencies...

Also... most of us are on here for "help" with our projects. If you're looking for advice, you don't need to preface it.

The junkyards don't want to sell just the yoke portion because that would leave them with half a driveshaft. Not many buyers come looking for half a driveshaft, most people need the whole thing.

Same reason they won't disassemble a complete motor to sell you one cylinder head for example..

They can't be asking that much for the entire used driveshaft. Buying the whole thing will still likely be the cheapest, most useful option

    Can't wait to start!
From what I've heard production of the driveshafts were licensed to Spicer but Toyota doesn't want them to sell parts. So as others have said your best option is a junkyard find.
