Time to make the chili. 3-ish gallons simmering for about another hour, then in to the fridge to rest for a day.

She still runs and drives perfect. Someone could tube the front end, cage the interior, replace the cab mounts, and have one hell of a trail monster.

So you bought her back from the insurance company? How bad was that price?

Sounds like “someone” means “you” have a great plan for a front tube chassis build…

I fucking HATE that situation. No offense to you, i’m not trying to be mean or rude, the scars are just still fresh.

    ANYWAY

I see it this way, should not have had to “buy back” my property that I didnt total. So in my mind, I didnt “buy back” my truck. I literally took delivery of it and told both insurance companies, “FUCK YOU, YOU CANT HAVE IT.” Then, made them come up with a value to compensate me for the damages. :(

So in my mind, I got fucked. Because, they should have paid me at least $14,000 for my $17,000 truck. However. They didn't see it that way. So the salvage value was taken off of that as well. I’m not going to say what the final pay out is supposed to be, because I still don’t actually have it in hand. This shit has taken WAAAAAAAAAAY too fucking long. I’m absolutely disgusted with this process. I’m 56 days in and its still not over. I have to wait for my salvage title to be released in order to get paid out

So that means, I have to part out my truck to make back up the difference. At this time, here is a list of what I plan to keep in no particular order:

    Detroit trutrac LSD third member
    Leaf springs
    Ubolt flip kit
    Rear shocks
    Sumo springs
    Gas tank skid
    Trans skid
    Wheels AND tires
    Rotors
    Pads
    Calipers
    Dust shields
    Front hubs
    Spindles
    Coilovers
    UCAs
    MAYBE the LCAs
    Cold air intake
    Magnaflow exhaust
    ENGINE
    Battery
    Radio
    Weathertech floor mats
    CB radio
    Ultragauge
    Bed mat
    Front skid
    Drive shaft
    Cv axles
    Sway bar spacer kit
    Steering rack/lines

What may be available for sale here soon:

Rear diff housing with brakes and axle shafts
    Gas tank
    Bed
    Tailgate
    Full interior
    Doors
    Trans
    Front diff
    Transfer case
    Brake booster
    Seats
    Cab
    Frame
    Tail lights
    Rear bumper
    Hitch
    Various wiring harnesses and components

My plan is to NOT PART OUT ANYTHING until I purchase a replacement Tacoma. That way I can direct swap parts onto the new truck and also sell the parts that come off the new truck. That way, if someone wants the blue truck as a roller, i can literally put it back together with the used parts from the new truck and they will have a MOSTLY complete unit. Also bare in mind, I WILL GET PAID FOR NONE OF THIS LABOR obviously :( Its just my way of getting closure I guess….
