Are you trying to continue playing cassettes, or are you looking to replays the tape player altogether?

I'd look in the Buy Sell Trade section if you need a replacement.

OEM radio/cassette/CD right? In mine the CD went out, I tried fixing it but both the CD and cassette are pretty specific, not like you can replace the sub-unit. Wound up finding a decent one on Fleabay. $126. Most of them are junkyard salvage so look for one that the printing on the buttons are not all worn off from use.

It's still OEM, right, '96 without CD? Same answer. :D

I found a couple within a few minutes, not sure if these are the same as yours. It also looks like, as for many Taco parts, a Corolla or Camry radio might be the same thing. Note how the first one says "Tacoma" but the second appears to be the same.

The front plate will have a code, like 16408. Match that up and you're golden.

From my previous experience with cassettes back in the day spitting back out means something is binding and it **usually** was the tape itself. You could try taking it apart and replacing belts etc. but it may provide no relief.

For what their going for on eBay, why not get a CD/Cassette/Radio? They’re about the same price.
