I've used a lot of products over the years & was hesitant on switching to ceramics after using sealants for so long. I decided to go with Gyeon products. I polished & applied Can Coat Evo 18 months ago. I've been topping it with their Ceramic Detailer after every wash. Going to polish & re-apply the Can Coat soon. It definitely out performs any product I've used longevity wise.

Wax? I might wash it every 2-3 months, whether it needs it or not.
I work out of it, fish & hunt out of it. Drove through snow this morning.
Ain't got time for wax. It's a truck that does truck things.

Big proponent for the current crop of ceramic coatings. VERY nice. Lasts much longer than the old school waxes and very, very smooth finish. I know there will be the never ending battle of the brands, but choose one and go with it. When we bought our 2021 4Runner Off Road Premium, we went with a nano-graphene coating. Every wash (we hand wash it ourselves with a pressure washer and a foam cannon and an assortment of The Rag Company microfibers), we go back over it with a ceramic detail spray (Technicians Choice).

We use ours as a daily driver and go camping and off-roading occasionally. But, we still want it to look good, like someone cares.

I use the griots garage stuff....
    ceramic wash & coat
    ceramic liquid wax
    ceramic speed shine

really love the griots ceramic liquid wax due to the fact that if you get it on your black trim, plastics, etc, it doesnt stain them, & easy to work with...

I wash with this stuff. Lazy man’s version of a wax job I guess, but I hand wash my truck once every 2 or 3 weeks or so. Looks good. Smells good. IMG_0366.jpg

Can someone explain why one should wax their truck? I'm genuinely curious, as I bought mine new and intend to keep it as long as it will last me. Mine usually gets covered in mud / sand / dirt / dust multiple times per month, so it seems like a losing game to try to keep it clean and waxed. I will say I do my best to wash any clay off the underbody. But it spends most it's life parked outside covered in dirt..

I'm not trying to act better than anyone here. I want to make sure I'm not doing something I shouldn't be doing to my truck.

...same, and it doesn't leave white residue on black trim and rubber, which is a big deal in the results, and time it takes.

Wax / ceramic coatings etc , provides extra protection for the paint . Almost like a sacrificial layer . It also heLps the clear coat last longer . The other thing it does slow down particles from getting Pushed into the clear coat . Then there is the vanity part . Most waxes have fillers and it makes the paint pop when clean . In the end if the truck is outside all the time it will look newer longer .

Scrubbed some tires, and knocked a dent out.
I do and I dont mind having to do it every 3 months. It adds a depth to the paint that I don't see otherwise with any of the quick wipe on products.

11 years old, lives outside 24/7 except twice a year in the garage for a spray down with Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic. A run through the automatic car wash once in awhile. A slick surface stays clean.
