    You are suggesting that trying to land a crossmember on a single standalone rock that is 2 ft tall, with or without a skid plate, just might possibly be not the best idea on the world? Huh ... how odd ...

    I would suspect it is because they are newer to the trail armor game than RCI. They started out making cat protector plates because they are based out of Houston and cat theft was exploding there a few years ago. They more recently moved into making other skids a few years ago and have gradually expanded the range of vehicles they have covered. They are a very low overhead operation, with just Shawn and his wife and a few employees doing the plate design and bending in their shop, so their prices probably reflect that. I have had nothing but good experiences with their plates. On another post I made, there was one person who had some issues with heads of their attachment hardware stripping out (around the oil change door I believe), which I have not experienced. But they are using very standard bolt sizes, so even if that happens, it is really easy to replace it with a new one.
