Entune radio restart reset FIX

    TLDR: Bad map sd card. Replaced with one from Amazon, no more issues.

    For about two months I have been exceedingly frustrated by constant head unit restarts and resetting voice preferences. Sometimes as often as 8 times in a 20 minute drive. This is in a 2017 Tacoma sport, 76k miles, a few electrical mods.

    I tracked down so many "solutions" on many forums and attempted to fix doing the following:

    1. Checked all radio/interior/instrument fuses. No change.

    2. Removed, reseated, tested my anytime back up camera mod. No change.

    3. Cleaned all radio/head unit connections in the dash. No change.

    4. Updated to the newest software via USB. No change.

    5. Reset radio and deleted all phones, preferences, and stations. No change

    6. 2 weeks ago, I pulled the sd map card out and had zero reboot/restarts. Maybe success!? So I ordered a replacement, updated, map card from Amazon and with about 32 hours of driving since install, no more issues.

    I had priced various new headunits, and still may replace it in the future, but if you don't want to replace it, try a map card first.

    When my map card went bad it only happened when I was using navigation. I’d be driving down the freeway and all of a sudden the freeway lines would drop out and it would loose it’s mind.

    I was having the same problem (infuriating). Solved it the same way - bought a new map card from Amazon. No more resets.

    I was just curious if this part number 86271-0E077 was an updated map SD card? I bought the 8671-0E076 card an updated 6 months ago an now recently my Entune 2.0 keeps rebooting which i suspected may be at fault, so I was looking to buy the next update
