I need to get some back straps out of the freezer, told my wife I would smoke some Sunday for supper

 

Hopefully you all can see this. Guy blowing his truck horn and the turkeys are gobbling like crazy.

Found a few morels today.

 

I wish I liked mushrooms but I just cant stomach them. I like the idea of liking mushrooms

 

Dennis how do you normally prep, cook and eat the morels??

 

The small grays usually go in some scrambled eggs or in the crockpot with a roast or round steak and some brown gravy. I like to fry the bigger ones. I dip them into a egg/milk batter and cover them with fine cracker meal and fry them in butter flavored crisco shortening/oil.

 

When i could get them i would cut them into rings and put in spaghetti sauce.

 

I’ve done the same thing

 

GRILLED some sammin last nite in 40 mph winds, to go with yer schroons......
