Was recommended I also post here:

Hello, new to the sub! I recently purchased a 2016 SR Utility. Got some Rough Country fender flares (the sport ones that don't have the fake rivets) that I want to put on but I live in an apartment and recently moved out here so I don't don't have a garage or the tools to put it on. If anyone can help out with a space and tools for me to try and put them on I would be grateful. I am in the Arrowhead area. I can pay/bring drinks? Thank you.

P.S. Hello all! Tacoma newbie here with a Justa 4 banger 2wd. Excited to have it as my daily. Any tips / guidance would be nice (mostly on creature comforts for road trips) and maybe some aesthetic so it doesn't look too much like a service truck.

P.S.S. Are there any Arizona meetups? Would like to see more tacos and get some inspiration.

Rough Country neoprene seat covers. You be in AZ ... it gets hot, you make your seats yucky. $200 for my double cab front/back.

Some people like "Desert Does It" seat jackers to raise the front or back of the driver seat, but others find the original seat angles are better for their back/legs. It really depends on how you are physically built instead of just assuming the crowd saying "do it" must be right.

Get a Tractor Supply Company "stall mat" for $50 and cut it to the shape of the truck bed ... things to not slide around.

Get a tailgate lock that fits on the hinge. 20 seconds to lift your tailgate out if you have no lock. @christian06 sells one for about $40 and Sabellco sells one for $100.

Was looking for some seat covers and a truck mat. Will take a look at those.
I have a locking hard bed cover and lock my tailgate. Is it still easy to steal? But for 40 bucks it seems reasonable for peace of mind either way.
    Thank you!

Lmao I think the only box I don't check is the DD rifle. Never owned a Daniel.

Check my build thread in my signature, I sold her a few years back now but I had the exact spec that you have.

Now, not to dig on your style but I found that skipping the flares and going to a good paint shop to get that front bumper sprayed made more of a difference than anything. I also designed some retro inspired decals and had them done by a wrap shop.

I know it sounds silly, but without the flares your tires look way meatier than with them on.

Screwdriver and a hammer defeats the tailgate key lock. Then they have your tailgate in 20 seconds.

@Nitori: Dang I went through that build post for the last 30 minutes. That truck looked great. I think I'm like you in that I want to see how it looks with the fender flares and then decide. In my mind I picture the black and white look to look good. I def dig the paint matched look too. I am worried about the wheels not being flush with the fender flares once installed, but am going to upgrade wheels when these tires run out or maybe sooner, if funds (and wife) allow.

@RichochetRabbit Good point. Will get that put on asap. Did notice a bunch of tailgates being sold on marketplace.

    Thank you!

I had a buddy with the 2018 sport and he hated that big ugly scoop on the hood. Damn thing wasn't even functional. Ended up swapping it out with another trd Offroad for a guy in AZ actually

It was mentioned, but the seat jackers are phenomenal if you are over 6ft tall. Good luck with the truck, and welcome to the club! At least your truck works:anonymous:

I've got the seat jackers in the 1st gen with Corbeau seats, definitely not a good comparison but they have definitely helped me and I'm barely 5'8

I'm 5'10" so its seems okay for now. But yeah I do have to two best things on the truck: paid off and running. I bought it with 104k miles. Already got the OTT tune and hard flip bed cover. The engine oil was changed at purchase, and it was fleet maintained. Do you guys have any suggestions on where to go for 100k plus maintenance (estimate on pricing also)?

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
I think this comes down to a lot more variables than just height, because some people wear more of their length in their torso than their legs, and vice versa.

Add in that some people sit like they have a stick up their ass, and others sit like they don't want to see over their hood, backing position, etc. and you've got yourself a whole lot of "one size fits one."

All this to say, I don't mind the ones I threw in lol. Makes trips to Vegas a bit easier on the knee. :anonymous:

the only thing I hate about DD is that I don't currently own one.

Feel free to sub Benelli in there, as well.

    not hate just that
there has been a significant amount of mass shooters who used DD guns in similar configurations

    just a coincidence I’m sure …
