So after looking for about a week under the truck to figure out why there was a loud rattling noise. I found the culprit.... Is this transmission to exhaust bracket necessary, it's rusted to shit and there's no clamp which is causing the exhaust to rattle against the bracket. I was thinking I could just take it off to sold the problem, can't seem to find the clamp online.PXL_20250416_211246447~2.jpg

I think that helps the exhaust from flexing. I would take it off. Seems like you can weld a new piece of metal on there

You can put an exhaust clamp from Autozone on there (I did the same). Without that clamp things will vibrate more and the exhaust will be flexing

I can't be sure from the picture perspective but it appears you could use a simple hose clamp of an appropriate size.

or wire wheel the area and weld it... and if you can't weld, bring a 50 spot and a six pack to your local exhaust shop, and I bet you'll be in business.

lots of questionable things in your picture...

what are the rusty hose clamps for on the line below the exhaust?

why is the exhaust beat to shit near the "metal piece causing the rattle" ?

Thanks for confirming the hose/pipe clamps will work. And I wish I could answer all of those questions but I honestly don't know why theres a dent in the pipe. I just bought this truck a week ago, everything else on her is super clean and she runs great so im just giving it the little tlc it needs.

this, finding the right size could be challenging though...
been trying to source a clamp to resecure a heat shield on the chicks lexus rx350 & the Amazon vendor specs to actual are way off & cant find one the cinches down enough....
but im looking at 17", this application appears to be smaller so shouldn't be an issue...
