Westcott has 15% off, that should take care of your shipping gripe..

I was able to snag an original Prinsu for just north of $500 shipped from a Black Friday deal so I really couldn’t turn it down.

I’m not planning on adding a light bar to it but I’m not going to be able to install/show it off until the weather warms up.

I looked at Prinsu, Sherpa, UpTop, Wescott, etc. came down to the Prinsu and the UpTop Kilo. went with the Prinsu because while I like UpTops products but the crossmembers were not your standard rack bars so it limited the type of stuff you could put on there.

Personally I’m planning on using the rack for an awning, a kayak, and my CB/gmrs antennas. Maybe extra storage for longer trips (gas/traction boards/etc) but nothing crazy like roam cases full of snacks…although that doesn’t sound like a half bad idea

Have had the prinsu for a couple months now. Glad I got it bc I’ll be randomly carrying 20’ ladders or 8’ ABS pipe… However I still think the Westcott looks the best.

I’ve had many of prinsu on other Yotas… It’s the gold standard in Toyota roof racks.

I think westcott is the most competitively made, but I thought prinsu roofrack looked the best. CaliraisedLED second. I’m thinking of going with prinsu

I have seen comments that Prinsu's quality is terrible now after CBI(?) bought them. Does that seem to be the case?

I had an uptop on my '19 Tacoma, great quality and looked great. I bought and installed a Prinsu on my '24 Tacoma. Only flaw I see is their Leadtimes. Quoted LT was 5 weeks. Ordered on the 4th of December and the rack arrived on January 20th. I realize they had a big sale and two major holidays. All in all though it is a good looking easy to install rack. 20250125_163903.jpg 20250125_160302.jpg

    A whole lot
Loads of great rack options out for the 4th Gen Taco. Wescott being one of them, they make a great rack and we at Sherpa love sharing the industry with Jeff and his team.

I wanted to drop some info in here for the Sherpa Rainier so anyone looking can check it out and stack it up against the competition!
