I just installed a new clutch master cylinder on my 2009 4 cylinder access cab.
Now the engine won't turn over.
I know that the white switch on top of the pedal unit is the safety/ start switch. And I assume I damaged it....
But what is the smaller, black switch further down on the left?
I may have yanked that one a bit.
Would it also cause a no start?
I'm going to need to get my big @ss back under there and try a jumper wire.
    Thank you.

The one at the bottom circled in Red is the clutch safety switch for starting, the one at the top circled in Blue is the clutch cruise cancel switch.

    Thank you.
Makes sense. That's the wire I didn't see and I was yanking on it.
Hopefully it broke near the plug end....
Do you know if it's just 2 wires there? I might have room to do a bypass for now.

Yea each switch has 2 wires, you can jumper them to bypass it temporarily just be aware that it will crank without pressing the clutch so it will run off if it's in gear.

    I'm glad you responded
I would've thought the safety lock-out switch was the white one

Nope the safety switch is the one that is depressed when the clutch pedal is all the way down, the cruise cancel switch is the one that is released when the pedal is slightly depressed.
4wd Tacos have a clutch start cancel button that allows you to bypass the safety switch but it's not equipped on 2wd trucks.

    Lucky me.
That black plug and those wires are NOT in a great location. Even if I remove the pedal assembly again

    Ok.
New clutch master and slave installed.
It gravity bled itself and the pedal feels better than it ever did.
I did bypass the switch and it's going to stay that way for the foreseeable future due to space and location. Luckily, I still depress the clutch to start all of my vehicles out of sheer habit, so it should be good to go.

I didn't use AISIN. I used DORMAN. Hopefully I'll get some years out of them. The originals lasted 16 years
