Just got our renewal with Auto Owners and they are increasing $600 for the next year for my 2021 Tacoma and 2018 4Runner. Been with them for years with no claims, accidents, and clean driving record. Getting quotes now to change. Progressive is looking to be the cheapest but I have seen lot of reviews they wont use OEM parts if you do have an accident. State Farm is coming back cheaper also and there is an Agent in town if do need anything.

Yeah it's ridiculous how much insurance costs these days. Seems like the last year or two they have skyrocketed. I just recently had to switch to a very low grade insurance, because I couldn't justify paying what the nicer companies want anymore. Perfect driving record and zero accidents in 20 years.

I pray I don't ever need to use it. I was an insurance appraiser / body shop estimator for many years. I know the importance of having good insurance.

Find a good independent agent and let them do the shopping

Every rate increase i shop around. I'm accident/claim free and figure if they don't care about keeping their good customers why should I be loyal to them.

None of them are great to deal with if you have a claim. Find a cheaper policy and switch asap.

A lot of the good ones have gone down hill. They are trying to save money by any means necessary. AAA is somewhat decent.

That’s pretty crazy. Granted I have a same year 2021 rav4 hybrid and a Tacoma I’m paying about 225 a month through usaa though.

My wife and I have been with State Farm (both home and auto) for 30 plus years. We’re in a relatively rural area and our agent is a local, so you just walk in and chat. Have had some small claims, but nothing that pushed our rates up.

I've been with State Farm for about 24 years now. My 2020 Tacoma, a 2014 Ford Fusion, both with full coverage and homeowners cost me just under $1900 a year. No accidents, tickets or claims in that time. It seems much of the cost has to do with where you live. I have looked into leaving Pennsylvania due to the high property taxes and part of my due diligence is getting a quote from a State Farm office local to a residence I might buy. Greely, Colorado was almost $2000 more just for the autos, Mobile, Alabama was $2000 more for everything and New Albany, Mississippi was $1000 more for everything. So, sometimes where you live makes a big difference.

I’ve had All-State for about 50 years now, not the cheapest but not the most expensive. They have never denied or questioned any claims and the best thing is that I have an actual agent locally. Go talk to a few body shops and they can tell you which companies are good to deal with and the ones to stay away from. I’ve never really been concerned about who’s the cheapest but who gives good service. I have a buddy who owns a body shop and he says that the General insurance company is the worst he’s dealt with.

Ended up switching to State Farm. Good many people I work with had nothing but good things to say about our local agent. Wasn't the cheapest option but still a good bit less than what Auto Owners was going to be
