Noob to the site and I know my truck dont belong in this forum but here goes. I've seen videos on youtube of fluid to use on the transfer case and diffs. I watched a couple saying to use ATF in the trans case, but one says to use 75-90 gear oil. I know the diffs take gear oil. what does the transfer case take for my truck? want to make sure. Need reassurance guys.

    thanks

    welcome to TW!

for a 3.0l 3vze auto there was a case that used ATF and shared its fluid with the transmission. All other toyota cases use gear oil.

Can you post any pictures of the transmission/transfer case combo you have from beneath the truck?

It was an odd transfer case, and only the auto had it. Not many know about that.
