Installed a Rough Country tri-fold tonneau cover.

 

Super easy, 10 minutes with a 3M eraser wheel! They are not cheap but work well and wont damage the paint if you follow the instructions.

 

Get the one with the attachment hardware.

New shoes for my TROK.
17x8.5 Matte Bronze Wheel RRW RR2-H with 0 offset. 285/70/17 falken wildpeak AT4W.

 

Added some red overlays to the “Tacoma” above glove box to match the start button and red stitching in seat covers. And for the hell of it, added red overlays to tailgate handle.

 

New plates came in today. Didn't get custom plates, but the last 2 digits of the plate were a bit serendipitous. I guess it was meant to be...

 

First Aid Kit. Probably overkill for most people, but it does get used.

 

Would not mind checking it out soon.

 

I lack the electrical skills/experience to pull that type of shenanigans off. I would like to wire some additional amber fog lights into the existing fog light circuit. (So all fogs illuminate when activating the standard fog lights) So I'm busy researching that online.

 

Did yours not come with hood insulation? Or is this upgraded insulation?

 

Justified the purchase

 

It was actually fairly easy assuming you're not color blind (toyota's wiring scheme leaves a lot to be desired IMHO). Had to go into the passenger side b-pillar to get to the lock/unlock door wires. Tap those and run to the bed. Since I did all 6 locks, I pulled power from the battery along for the ride.

Lock/Unlock wire each drive a 5 pin relay. NC = Ground. NO = 12V. Common = Output to latches.

Honestly doing a clean install and running all the wires neatly is the real work. Good idea to use a 2A fuse to make sure the little motors don't do anything stupid.

 

Just got the side lantern. Can’t really explain why I like this but I really do.
