a really stupid question about the grills

I see alot of grills for sale. All of them have the hole empty where the word Toyota goes. Is that correct or does it come with that insert?

 

Shipmate, Most likely you are looking at aftermarket grills that are getting around copyright laws.

 

OH yea makes sense now to find that part of the grill

 

Usually the pictures will be blank but description will say "letters included."

 

The knockoff pro grille I bought years ago didn’t show the Toyota letters but it was all included and worked great.

 

Never understood why people want a big ass TOYOTA across the front of their trucks. I'd love to ditch the emblem, but it has that electric shit behind it.

 

For me it’s an 80’s throwback…..you know “Heritage Grill”.

In those days the Toyota logo Was the word TOYOTA.

And I worked at a Toyota dealership as well. I saw a lot of grilles

 

I think the grills with the word Toyota in them have a better look to them. Its not the work Toyota i like the most its the actual grill layout.

if i'm putting letters across the grille, i want it to say something like LOCKHEED

 

to be fair, most people seem to take vehicle badges far too seriously. i've seen less drama over war crimes.

 

Haha thats funny. Yea i get it for sure. I just like the wording and look of the aftermarket grills. To each their own.

 

That round plastic piece in the center of the grill is called "Garnish" by Toyota and is where the radar sensor is located.

 

And 'CHEVROLET' would be blasphemy!

 

Count me as a fan of the big dumb letters. My letters are from the LC-BJ70 though - they weren't intended for a mere Tacoma.

 

I don’t mod my truck unless it’s with OEM parts that way when I’m ready to sell people are more interested in buying.

 

Before buying my truck I planned to replace the grill, but I am glad I didn’t.

 

You can cover it with vinyl. Lotsa choices for an image or just plain..
