Bacflip Mx4

Is anyone having fitment issues with the Bacflip Mx4 for the 4th gen? I installed everything per the directions and nothing fits as described.

 

I think I've seen a few people on here who've had issues with them.

 

The BakFlip from Toyota fits and works great for the gen 4. It was cheaper, too. Not sure what’s different.

 

The Bakflip has a 5 year warranty vs. 3 years for the Toyota

 

Send it back and get the Rough Country tri fold for almost half the price. The quality is just as good if not better. I won't buy another Bakflip tonneau.

 

Yes, there have been some fitment issues with the BAK covers on the Tacoma's.

We have had better luck by far with Lomax covers so far.

 

I have it and don't like it. It's not in any way water resistant, which is my biggest complaint.

It is definitely not worth the money I spent on it.

 

If you’re talking about the mx4 i agree with you. After finally getting mine installed, i hate it. The fit is awful, the materials are thinner than the past generation and the finishing on it sucks. Very disappointed.

 

For posterity and a point of reference - I recently installed the BAK Revolver X4S on my shortbed 2024 with no fitment issues at all.
