For those who asked for a more “enclosed” version. I have a new lid I’m making. This was a quick version to test fit an idea. I will have a locking, hinged lid finished up next week.

Let me know your thoughts. As well as which style you prefer. Molle cutouts or the more “enclosed style”.

    Happy Friday everyone!

Eyeing this as a temporary solution below my sliding tonneau, and also as a solution for keeping gear from bouncing around above a spare tire mounted in the bed if/when I get rid of the tonneau.

    A few questions/suggestions:
    • What are the depth, width, and weight, and how much room is there between the base of the basket and the bed floor at the lowest position? (I'm curious how wide of a spare tire could fit under it.)
    • Any idea on the maximum load that it can handle? (I'm presuming that this could be increased by the suggestion in the following bullet point.)
    • Can it mount to the front bedrail to give some added support? (Maybe raise the rear center/side portion tie-in points up to that height, mount through those points instead of using a carriage bolt, and require an open-end wrench for the install to clear the overhang?)
    • The enclosed version appears to be height-adjustable. What increments are those adjustments in, and could that be an option for the non-enclosed version?

I'm also curious about adjustable "height" of this basket since I also store my spare tire flat in the bed.

As for the space under the basket. When measured on the 3rd gen’s. It’s 11”-12.5” depending on which height the basket is mounted.

    Bump.

For everyone who asked about having the ability to slide the basket. We have figured out a solution and will be releasing an update with pics later this week.
